JamiiHunt Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

JamiiHunt is a free public mobile application owned and operated by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania under the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology (MICT) through the Information and Communication Technologies Commission (ICTC).

The application supports the national innovation ecosystem by sharing information on innovation hubs, events, workshops, and digital opportunities across Tanzania.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, registering, or using JamiiHunt, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the application.

3. User Accounts

  • Some features require account registration.
  • Users must provide accurate and current information.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

4. Acceptable Use

Users must use JamiiHunt lawfully and for its intended public purpose. Misuse, including providing false information or attempting to compromise system security, may result in account suspension or legal action.

5. Use of Device Features (Camera)

JamiiHunt may request access to the device camera strictly when initiated by the user, such as capturing or uploading images.

  • Camera access is never automatic or in the background.
  • No video or audio is recorded.
  • Images are captured only with explicit user action.

6. Notifications

Registered users may receive notifications related to innovation events, updates, and system messages. Notification preferences can be managed within the app or device settings.

Information provided through JamiiHunt is for general informational purposes only. The Government does not guarantee accuracy or completeness and is not responsible for third-party changes.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and software are owned by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania unless otherwise stated.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Government shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of JamiiHunt.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
